Student Teaching Application Deadlines

Undergraduate Application Deadlines

If you wish to complete your field placement in a CPS school for either your junior year or senior year, the CPS Field Placement Application process must be completed PRIOR to the NLU Field Placement application process.
The CPS Field Experience Approval is good until a student begins his/her student teaching experience.

Juniors:

 NOTE: EDU350 is the first course taken in the junior year sequence of courses

  • If you are enrolled in the daytime program, your application is due no later than May 15th while in EDU290, taken during sophomore year.
  • If you are a transfer student enrolled at NLU and are taking pre-requisites OR general education deficiencies, your application is due up to four weeks prior to starting the junior year sequence (in most cases beginning withEDU350).
  • If you are enrolled in EDU350 your first term, the NLU Field Placement Application is due by the end of Week 6 of the first term of NLU Classes. 

Seniors:

  • Field applications are due no later than May 15 for all seniors beginning their senior sequence in the fall.
  • Field application are due no later than January 1 for all seniors beginning their senior sequence in the spring.
