Our Mission:
Established in 1972, The Reading Center at National Louis University promotes leadership in literacy at the university as well as at the state, national, and international level. It accomplishes its mission through its graduate programs, partnership projects, research and publication, reading improvement programs, outreach, institutes, and other literacy initiatives. The Reading Center, and its campus locations, also function as training sites for graduate students who provide literacy instruction for participating school-age students. A hallmark of The Reading Center and the Faculty in Reading and Language is an emphasis on collaboration for leadership in literacy.
