The Advisory Board
The Advisory Board meetings are a means for the Reading and language Department faculty to learn more about what is happening as far as literacy instruction and related policies in local school districts. District teachers/administrators are encouraged to bring information on literacy priorities in their area and bring fliers for upcoming literacy events. The Board meetings help NLU faculty members think ahead about critical content for our reading programs and what we need to do to best serve students. As a result of these annual meetings, the NLU faculty gain greater insight into the issues that local educators are currently facing in the field as well as top priorities of local districts.
