D214 National Louis Scholarship
Scholarship overview:
In partnership with Township High School District 214, National Louis University is offering a full tuition scholarship, renewable for four years to graduating high school seniors. NLU will award 2 scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year. Deadline to apply: March 30, 2020. Scholarship decisions will be made by April 10, 2019.
D214 National Louis Scholarship Requirements
- Open to students graduating from one of the Township High School District 214 high schools
- Enroll in any National Louis University undergraduate degree program at the Wheeling campus
- Have a 2.0/4.0 (3.0/5.0) or higher high school GPA OR 19 or higher composite ACT score OR 1150 or higher composite SAT
- FAFSA completion required - student must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen
How A D214 Senior Can Apply
- The student should apply to NLU online at nl.edu/apphub.
- Fill out the scholarship application online by clicking here.
- A letter of recommendation is required.
- An essay is required. Your essay should address the question “what would the D214 National Louis Scholarship mean to you and/or your family” or “how do you currently make a difference in your community or plan to after receiving your NLU degree”?
- The student should complete the 2020-21 FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov and indicate NLU’s school code 001733.

Ongoing Scholarship Criteria
The following criteria apply to the 2020-2021 academic year.
- The scholarship can be awarded until the student has reached 180 quarter hours of combined transfer and institutional coursework
- Enroll for at least 10 quarter hours per term (summer enrollment not required)
- Maintain a 2.50 or higher cumulative GPA to remain eligible
- Students are only eligible for one institutional resource per academic year
- Any grants or outside scholarships received will be applied first and the D214 NLU scholarship will cover any unmet tuition charges
- Student must fill out the FAFSA by Novemeber 15h of each year
- Student must complete all finanacial aid verification requirements, if selected
- Students must adhere to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy of National Louis University
- Students must adhere to all the University policies noted in the Catalog in order to remain eligible to receive NLU Scholarships
Please Note: All National Louis Scholarships require U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status. Undocumented students who meet the criteria may apply to receive the NLU Eagle Dream Scholarship. International students who meet the criteria may apply to receive the NLU Alumni Scholarship and PTK Scholarship.
