- Step 1: Request your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the www.vets.gov website and select the apply for education benefits tab to complete VA Form 22-5490 or if you have previously used VA benefits or attended another school use VA Form 22-5495.
- Step 2: Submit a copy of your COE and VA Form 22-5490 or VA Form 22-5495 to the school certifying official at VAstudents@nl.edu
- Step 3: If necessary, request a copy of your DD214 from the National Archives
- Step 4: Complete the Military Scholarship Form. To verify your military discount eligibility a copy of your DD214 and marriage/birth certificate must be submitted. If you are a family member of an active duty service member, official military orders or documentation from your command can be used to verify Proof of Service
- Step 5: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current school year and the book vouchers form
Note: Please allow 4-6 weeks for the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to be processed
