- Complete the Military tuition scholarship form and upload Proof of Service (copy of DD214, military orders)
- Active-duty, Reserve and National Guard students may be eligible for Tuition Assistance (TA). To determine eligibility students should contact their installation or unit education office to discuss different educational offerings that they may be interested in. Scan and email the approved TA document to NLU’s school certifying official at VAstudents@nl.edu
- Army Tuition Assistance: Students eligible for TA can apply at http://www.goarmyed.com
- Navy Tuition Assistance: Students eligible for TA can apply at www.navycollege.navy.mil
- Air Force Tuition Assistance: Before a TA request can be processed, students must create a user profile at Air Force Virtual Education Center located at https://www.my.af.mil/
- Marine Corps Tuition Assistance: Students eligible for TA can apply at https://myeducation.netc.navy.mil
- Active duty students who are eligible for and plan to use both TA and VA education benefits during the same term should indicate on the TA form "Top-Up will be used." In addition, you will need to complete VA Form 22-1990 and indicate "Top-Up" in item 1A under the MGIB-Active Duty block. If you need a tuition rate or account balance information to complete these forms, please contact NLU’s school certifying official at VAstudents@nl.edu
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current school year and the book vouchers form
- If necessary, request your Joint Service Transcript (JST)
