Assistant Professor Angela Elkordy was an invited participant at the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) June 2019 Standard Setting and Linking Study Conference held in Springfield, Illinois last week.
Dr. Elkordy took part in two test development activities, serving on both the ILTS Technology Specialist Standard Setting Panel and also on the ILTS Technology Specialist Linking Study Committee.
On June 18, the Standard Setting Panel examined each item included on a test form and provided passing score judgments that will be considered by ISBE in determining a passing score for the redeveloped test. On June 19, the Linking Study Committee reviewed and documented the relationship between the knowledge, skills, and abilities represented by the test objectives and the tasks performed by teachers in Illinois.
Under the direction of ISBE, ILTS was custom designed and developed by the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson to meet Illinois' needs and requirements relating to the preparation and certification of educators.
