NCE Adjunct Starts Campaign for World Refugee Day

World Refugee Day

Jennifer LaRocque, adjunct faculty in ESL/Bilingual Education and a kindergarten teacher, started a campaign on social media for World Refugee Day (June 20).

It is a positive movement asking teachers to publicly affirm "all students are welcome in my classroom" on Instagram.  So far, the campaign has received thousands of likes, and almost 400 teachers participated on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.  All of the responses can be viewed under the hashtag #allarewelcomeinmyclassroom on Instagram.
