Professor Terry Smith Chosen for Distinguished Teaching Award

At the NLU Spring Connection held June 1 at the Wheeling Campus, President Nivine Megahed announced Dr. Terry Smith as the NCE faculty member selected to receive a Distinguished Teaching Award.

This award, nominated and chosen exclusively by NLU students, honors faculty who demonstrate teaching excellence in the following areas:

  1. Creating an engaging classroom environment.
  2. Fostering peer relationships through creating a sense of community in the classroom.
  3. Mentoring students to achieve success.

The Distinguished Teaching Award will be presented at the upcoming 2018 Commencement Ceremony.
