NCE Launches New and Updated programs
The National College of Education recently revamped two of its programs to best fit the needs of today’s educators and professionals.
Two previous programs were merged to create the new M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction with Advanced Specialization. The programs are for experienced, career-oriented educators seeking to amplify their credentials by adding concentrations in eight areas of content expertise: Curriculum and Instruction, Early Childhood Special Education, English as a Second Language, English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education, Learning Behavioral Specialist I (LBS I), Mathematics Education, Reading Teacher and Specialized Option.
A revised and expanded program in Teacher Leadership was also developed. It offers an endorsement, M.Ed. and Ed.S. as three options for educators seeking to advance their careers with credentials related to leadership of teaching and learning in schools and districts. The curriculum focuses on coaching teachers, leading teacher teams, and working with school administrators and community stakeholders on improving student achievement. These programs will begin in the Winter 2018 term.
Both programs conveniently offer online courses to help balance professional student’s needs, while obtaining an education that can truly impact their careers.
