There is a Kenyan Proverb that says, “Sticks in a bundle are unbreakable.” The CPSA staff is exactly that—unbreakable.  The staff is comprised of a dynamic and diverse group which is the heart of the college.  They not only provide excellent service to their programs, faculty and students, but will support any department in need.  They are dedicated to the college and always go the extra mile to get any job done.

Elizabeth Dominguez, Administrative Assistant
Elizabeth Dominguez
Elizabeth Dominguez has been at National Louis University since 2005 and is known among her colleagues and by NLU students for her kindness and willingness to assist, no matter the issue and whether it belongs to her or not; she will always find a way to help.

Ewa Politanska Ewa Politanska, Administrative Assistant
Ewa was a small business owner in Poland, but immigrated to the US in the early 90s to look for other opportunities. After attending ESL courses at NLU she continued her education here, earning BA in Business Administration.

Ewa has enjoyed her experience here so much, she decided to stay on and work for the institution. She has been an asset to the university since 1998, starting her NLU career at the Registrar’s Office where she handled student registrations, she then moved to customer services in the Student Services department where she served as a student concierge, providing general support to student in all aspect of their experience.

After few years of dedicated work, Ewa accepted a position of Faculty Assistant at the College of Arts and Sciences, what is now part of CPSA. There, Ewa progressed seamlessly and is now the CPSA “money” lady, responsible for creating all of the teaching contracts for the college and assuring that everyone gets paid on time.  Ewa also processes other accounts payable items and is instrumental in the course scheduling process of the college, working closely with the various departments and programs to create in the internal NLU system courses that are offered each term.

Fun facts: Ewa is an animal lover and lived in four different countries.

Samuel Radom, Administrative Assistant
Samuel joined National Louis in 2015. He provides exceptional assistance to the following programs: M.S. in Human Resource Management and Development, Undergraduate Business (B.A. in Business Administration, B.S. in Management, B.S. in Management Information Systems), M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Master of Business Administration (MBA), and M.S. in Written Communication. One of Sam’s previous jobs was Administrative Assistant at Luther High School North. Sam has a BA in Theater (directing), and currently is in the MS in Written Communication Program.

Grace Wilkison Grace Wilkison, Manager of Academic Scheduling
Grace started out at NLU as a two week temporary employee in the Registrar’s Office, but never left.

Hired in October of 2002 she worked for two years in the Registrar’s Office before moving to Career Services for a year, then transitioned into the College of Arts and Sciences (which is now CPSA).

When Grace started at NLU she had almost two decades of customer service experience working at CNA/Insurance as a supervisor in the Education and Training Department. During that time she attended Bryant and Stratton College.  She left CNA/Insurance after 17 years to raise her two children.  From there, Grace worked as a teacher’s aide in the Wheaton school district before her start at NLU.

Grace spends her day creating CPSA courses in BANNER, processing course changes and cancellations, tracking missing grades, checking for D2L compliance, entering textbooks, and many other duties which give students an exceptional customer service.

Ewa Wodzinska, Academic Support Manager Ewa Wodzinska
Ewa considers herself an NLU veteran, having 20+ years of full time employment under her belt, though her NLU roots go even deeper: before working for NLU, Ewa has been an ESL student at NLU’s renowned Language Institute starting classes in 1991 and then continuing her studies here, earning her BA in International Business. She enjoyed her experience here so well that she also worked on campus as a student and then in 1997 accepted a full time position at the college (formerly College of Management and Business, CMB).

As she progressed through her career from Faculty Assistant to Assistant to the Dean and subsequently to an Academic Support Manager, Ewa also earned her graduate degrees: MS in Human Recourse Administration followed by a MA in Psychology and a certificate in Clinical Counseling. She also successfully taught introductory business courses at CMB in an Adjunct capacity, but ultimately decided that her calling was in serving students as an advisor, which she did through her career at CMB and then CPSA.

It is safe to say that Ewa understands the NLU experience from all perspectives: that of a student, teacher and an employee, and that, as an immigrant and  a beneficiary of receiving education at NLU herself,  she deeply believes in the university’s mission of providing a superior and supportive educational experience for students of all ages and backgrounds.

Though no longer working directly with students, she now supports college’s Strategic Planning work which focuses on quality of instruction and student experience at the college.
