University Assessment Council (UAC)

The purpose of the UAC at NLU is to provide thought leadership and consultation on assessment of student learning at course, program, university levels by:

  1. Representing voice of faculty and staff in assessment planning and process strategy
  2. Serving as a platform for sharing curricular and co-curricular assessment of student learning practice and results
  3. Engaging in assessment-related training and professional development for assessment capacity building
  4. Facilitating development of a culture of data-informed inquiry by sharing UAC activity with constituent groups
  5. Recommending assessment-related practices and policies to appropriate governing bodies and college leaders
  6. Supporting institutional needs or initiatives related to student learning and success.
