Institutional Effectiveness at NLU

Institutional Effectiveness (IE) at NLU is a multi-function unit that oversees and manages regional accreditation, state licensing and other state approval processes, as well as internal university assessment.

All regional accreditation and state processes and approvals are managed by the Director and Vice Provost of Institutional Accreditation, while university-wide, academic assessment processes, including annual and program reviews, are managed by the Director of Assessment.

While the IE&A and Assessment offices have different missions, they work in an integrated fashion to facilitate compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, and to provide the NLU community with the information and tools they need for evidence-driven decision making.
