How can I order my transcript?

  • Go to www.nl.edu/transcripts. Click on the “Click here to begin transcript order” link.
  • You need to log in or create a new account using your personal email.

 

Why can’t I log-in? 

  • If you can’t log-in you can:

Create a new account using a different email.

 

  • If you continue having trouble you can email transcripts@nl.edu or call the Transcripts Department.

 

How can I include a form that my employer/school is asking for with my transcript?

  • To add a form with your sealed transcript you need to:

                  1 Order transcript.

                  2 Email the Transcript department at transcripts@nl.edu and include the transcript order number (In your confirmation email).

3 Send the form to the Transcript department via email or fax.

 

eTranscripts (electronic transcript in pdf format)

Are eTranscripts official?

  • NLU considers eTranscripts official, but your recipient may not. Please check with the recipient prior to placing an eTranscript order.
  • A password, which will arrive in a separate email after your order is placed, is required to open your eTranscript.

 

How long is my eTranscript available for me to view?

  • eTranscripts expire. They are available for 30 days or seven downloads, whichever comes first.

 

Why can’t I open my eTranscript?

  • A password which will arrive, after your order is placed, in a separate email. Check your junk mail folder if you are missing either your transcript or your password email.
  • Adobe Reader is required to open your eTranscript. If you do not have it, you can download it for free here.

 

What do I do if my recipient can’t open my eTranscript?

  • Ask your recipient to make sure they received the password email. Your recipient also needs to have Adobe Reader, which they can download for free here.

 

Can I make changes to my eTranscript?

  • You can only change the recipient’s email address by requesting a change in writing via email to the Transcripts Department at: transcripts@nl.edu.

 

 

Paper Transcripts

When will my transcript arrive in the mail?

  • If you ordered a paper transcript for regular delivery, you or your recipient should receive it in seven to ten business days. If you ordered expedited delivery, it should arrive in one to two business days. There is an additional $15 charge for expedited (overnight) service.

 

It has been more than 10 business days since I placed my order and I still have not received my transcript. What should I do?

 

Is a transcript that is mailed to me considered “official?”

  • Both transcripts mailed to you and those mailed directly to your recipient are considered official transcripts. Transcripts mailed to you, however, will be stamped “Issued to Student.”

 

Other Transcript Questions

I attended a school that has merged with NLU.  Can I order my transcript from NLU directly?

  • Yes, you can order your paper transcripts through the storefront. Please note that if you attended prior to 1995, additional processing time may be required for your transcript.

 

I was enrolled in University of Chicago’s respiratory care program.  Can I order my transcript through NLU? 

  • Yes, you can order your paper transcripts through the storefront. Please note that if you attended prior to 1995, additional processing time may be required for your transcript.

 

Can I view my grades without ordering an official transcript?

  • Yes, through your NLU Student Portal you can view your unofficial transcript. This, however, may not be used when an official transcript is required.

 

I need proof that I’ve finished my degree, but it’s before my degree date. Can you indicate that on my transcript?
