What is the Office of Admissions & Records?
The Office of Admissions & Records is responsible for supporting credentials, admission of applicants, maintaining academic files, and evaluating student credentials.
Where is the Office of Admissions & Records?
Most OAR staff are located in Wheeling, but some are also located on the Chicago campus. On campuses without Registrar staff, Student Service Representatives can assist walk-in students with many Registrar functions such transcript requests. What is an NLU email account? How do I access it and why is it important?
NLU provides every registered student with a personal email account. This email account is an official form of communication between the University and students. Students (other than those with a relevant ADA-certified disability) are responsible for checking their email account regularly.
Log in to the NLU Student Portal and click on the Student Email tab to access your NLU email.
What is my NLU ID? How do I find it?
NLU has provided you with an NLU ID which you can view in the Welcome tab of your NLU Student Portal. For your protection and rather than using your Social Security Number, it is expected that you will have this number available when you correspond with us. Please email us here if you have any questions about the use of NLU IDs.
How do I find a copy of my grades?
Current and recent students can view and print a copy of their grades through their NLU Student Portal. Click on the Student Services tab and select “View Unofficial Transcript.” Former students should request a transcript.
How do I request a transcript?
Official transcripts are available upon request (if all financial obligations to the University have been met). Click here for details on how to order a transcript.
How can I get enrollment verification for insurance, reimbursement, or loan purposes?
You can print an official enrollment verification from your NLU Student Portal. Please see the Verifications and Deferments webpage for detailed instructions.
