To be admitted to an NLU graduate program, you need to apply to the college that offers the program: the National College of Education or the College of Professional Studies and Advancement. Go to the Apply to NLU page to start your application today.
If you prefer to fill out a paper application and mail it to NLU, you can download the application from the Apply to NLU page. If you were previously admitted but haven't registered for classes in more than a year, please submit a re-entry form. If you haven't registered for courses in five years or more, you must re-apply for admission.
If you are only interested in taking courses for professional development, you are not required to submit an admissions application. Contact the Office of Admissions and Records for additional information.
International Students
NLU welcomes students from every country and culture. If English is not your native language, you will need to supply official test scores from one of the following exams: TOEFL, IELTS or CPE. All foreign transcripts must also be translated and evaluated by an approved agency.
Apply for Financial Aid
All U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible for federal financial aid. The first step is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. The NLU school code is 001733. When you are admitted to NLU, the Office of Student Finance will send you an award letter to match your demonstrated financial need.
