Will there be an orientation before D214 students begin classes at National Louis University?
Yes, once you’ve become an official member of the D214 cohort, you’ll be required to attend a summer orientation.
What will the summer orientation consist of?
Through summer orientation, you’ll learn tools and techniques that help you transition from a high school student to a college student. Summer orientation will be the first opportunity for you to meet classmates in your cohort, as well as meet your academic advisor, who will help you register for and design your courses for your first year. This section of summer orientation will give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with your degree plan within National Louis University’s system, as well as construct the foundation for success in your long-term career development.
What will I do at summer orientation?
Summer orientation you will also get to interact with National Louis University’s Student Experience team for the first time. In order to make your college-experience as impactful as possible, you’ll get the opportunity to positively contribute to your community through civic engagement, participate in student groups, leadership societies, and much more. Your future networking opportunities will expand as you meet and learn from student mentors that will help promote your success throughout your undergraduate college-career. Also, you’ll get to foster friendships as you interact with your cohort through various leadership, social, and conflict resolution activities.
