Biography:
Dr. San Filippo is the Chair of the Graduate Health Services Program (MHA) in the College of Professional Studies and Advancement (CPSA) at National Louis University (NLU) in Chicago, Illinois. He is the Faculty Advisor for the NLU Student Veterans of America chapter and the Quality Matter Coordinator for NLU's learning management platform. Dr. San Filippo is also a former Faculty Senate Chair for National Louis University. He also teaches online courses in critical thinking, strategic management, leadership, and ethics. Additionally, he teaches online courses in consciousness studies, death, dying, & near-death experiences.
Dr. San Filippo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Columbia College, Columbia, MO. He earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Science from Saybrook University, San Francisco, CA.
Dr. San Filippo is a member of the Association of Global Business, American Board of Vocational Expert, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, International Association of Near-Death Studies, National Association of Disability Representatives, and the Adult Higher Education Alliance. Dr. San Filippo is a Past Chair of the Standards & Compliance Board for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. Dr. San Filippo is also the President of the Adult Higher Education Alliance. He is also the Clinical Director for BlueLine Support of the Wounded Officers Initiative.
Dr. San Filippo serves as a vocational expert involving workers' compensation, personal injury, automobile, and social disability matters. He also represents disabled individuals before the Social Security Administration. Dr. San Filippo is a licensed mental health counselor, certified disability management specialist, a Florida qualified rehabilitation provider, and Quality Matters Peer Reviewer. Dr. San Filippo has started five companies related to medical cost containment, vocational rehabilitation services, and software and systems development. He has consulted for organizations in Colombia, S.A. regarding medical cost containment, human resources development, bereavement, and cost containment software. Dr. San Filippo offers seminars nationally on the topics of international business, online education, death & dying, near-death experiences, and marriage. He and his wife lead a marriage ministry for their church and provide marriage mentoring for couples, who are getting married, married and want to enhance their marriage, or are having marital problems and want some guidance.
