Biography:

My name is David J. Ross. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin from Montclair State University.  I have earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and currently working on a second Master of Arts degree in Instructional Design and Technology through the University of Central Florida. I earned my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organizational Psychology from Walden University. My dissertation title is titled “Effect of Political Skill on Perception of Organizational Politics and Work Withdrawal among Community College Employees.”  I conducted a national survey on organizational politics where I studied the role of employee political skill on the impact of perception of organizational politics and  work withdrawal behaviors among employees at various levels within the organization.

Currently, I live in Parrish, Florida which is about an hour south of Tampa. I work as a Dean at a community college and teach as an adjunct at multiple colleges and universities across the country. I have also served as a consultant and evaluator for companies that want to award college credit for training programs. For the past three years I have served as a conference proposal reviewer for SIOP and have presented my research at national and regional conferences including the Eastern Psychological Association’s Annual Meeting. I am a current member of the American Psychological Association, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.  I also serve as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of College Student Retention.
