Biography:
Ursula Pawlowski is an adjunct faculty member at National Louis University (NLU). She is also a member of the NLU Adjunct Council, 2018-2020, a member of the Faculty Professional Standards and Compensation Committee (FPSCC), 2018-2020 and a member of the University Level Written Communication Assessment committee, Summer, 2016. Ursula is a member of #NLUHOPESQUAD, an initiative that works toward bringing hope through wellness programming and training at NLU. She is a certifed trainer for Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), a suicide prevention workshop offered to NLU students, staff and faculty.
Ursula is the recipient of the 2016 College of Professional Studies and Advancement (CPSA) Adjunct Faculty of the Year award and the NLU 2016 Excellence in Teaching Award. Ursula was part of the advisory committee for the curriculum redesign of the MSHRMD program and assisted in redesigning MSHRMD blended and online courses. She was the assistant director of the MSHRMD program, 2016-2017.
Ursula earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential awarded by the HR Certification Institute and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential awarded by the Society for Human Resource Professionals (SHRM). Ursula has over twenty years of HR experience working in food and beverage, retail, education, volunteer management, non-profits and healthcare. Ursula's passion is in training and development, organizational behavior/organizational development, talent management, performance management, mentoring and strategic planning.
Ursula is member of the Council of Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Women Speaker Association and Pro-Literacy. Ursula is also the board chair at the Aquinas Literacy Center, an English-as-a-Second-Language adult learning center in McKinley Park.
