Biography:

Ursula Pawlowski is the assistant program director for the Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Development program, faculty adviser for the National Louis University (NLU) Student SHRM Chapter and a member of the University Level Written Communication Assessment committee, Summer, 2016. Ursula is the recipient of the 2016 College of Professional Studies and Advancement (CPSA) Adjunct Faculty of the Year award and the NLU 2016 Excellence in Teaching Award. Ursula is part of the advisory committee for the curriculum redesign of the MSHRMD program and will be assisting in redesigning MSHRMD blended and online courses.

Ursula earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential awarded by the HR Certification Institute and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential awarded by the Society for Human Resource Professionals (SHRM).  Ursula has over twenty years of HR experience working in food and beverage, retail, education, volunteer management, non-profits and healthcare. Ursula's passion is in training and development, organizational behavior/organizational development, talent management, performance management, mentoring and strategic planning.

Ursula is member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Women Speaker Association and Pro-Literacy. Ursula is also the board chair at the Aquinas Literacy Center, an English-as-a-Second-Language adult learning center in McKinley Park and the secretary and treasurer for the Association for Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals (AHVRP) of the American Hospital Association.
