Ignacio Lopez is Director of Outreach and assistant professor of education in the National College of Education at National Louis University in Chicago. He has been a high school English teacher, reading teacher, AVID teacher, and curriculum administrator with the Chicago Public Schools. Ignacio is author and co-author of books and online articles, most recently: Why are the Latino students late for class, Five Powerfully Positive Teaching Methods, The Essential Classroom Management Checklist, and The Empowerment Approach to Behavior Management. As an educational psychologist Dr. Lopez works nationally with Superintendents, Principals, and teachers around various topics including: Data-Driven Instruction, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Motivation, and Differentiated Instruction.
