The Ed. S. in school psychology degree program has been designed to educate and train students so that they may eventually be able to function effectively as school psychologists.
To ensure that students are prepared adequately, the curriculum is designed to provide for meaningful integration of theory, training, and practice. This program emphasizes the development of attitudes, knowledge, and skills essential in the formation of school psychologists who are committed to the ethical provision of quality services.
Our NASP aligned Tampa Florida program is a part time program that includes regular virtual classroom meetings, weekend residencies for supervised practice of skills, on site experience based learning, and practicum experiences that culminate in a full time school psychology internship in a school setting.
Faculty are experts in the field of school psychology utilizing their experience to enhance the theoretical framework of the courses in a pragmatic manner. This is an area of critical shortage in our nation, assessment, consultation, and addressing the mental health needs of students and families are all part of working as a school psychologist.
