This program is for candidates who have completed the Early Childhood Practice (ECP) program at National Louis University (NLU) and would now like to complete a post baccalaureate non-degree program in order to receive an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Upon completion of the fifth year of study, post baccalaureate candidates will be eligible to teach in early childhood settings requiring licensure.
Candidates completing non-licensure baccalaureate programs in Early Childhood Education or related fields, outside NLU, may qualify for the post baccalaureate non-degree program as well, upon transcript review.
Furthermore, candidates completing advanced standing coursework in the post baccalaureate non-degree program may apply this coursework towards the M.Ed. program in Curriculum and Instruction with Advanced Professional Specializations at National Louis University.
The delivery modality of the post baccalaureate non-degree program in ECE will be fully online or blended.
