Public Policy Concentration

Description:

This concentration prepares students to understand the current public policy environment and to learn how organizations that effectively respond to these public policy challenges are managed. The Public Policy Concentration may lead to employment opportunities in governmental settings, community-based organizations and other non-profit groups. It complements and enhances careers focusing on education, health, business and social welfare.

The Public Policy Concentration also prepares and provides an excellent background for students who would like to pursue graduate programs, including the M.A. in Public Policy, at National Louis University.

This concentration was developed for undergraduate students who have completed the major, but need several additional electives to complete the 180 QH for the degree. Courses also fulfill social science general education requirements.

How You Will Learn:

All courses in the Public Policy Concentration are offered in a 6-week FOCUS format and can be offered either online or face-to-face in the classroom. Face-to-face courses meet one night per week. Students may take one, two or all three courses listed below.

The concentration in Public Policy is not a standalone degree or program and all three courses must be taken at National Louis University in conjunction with one of the 5 approved programs: B.A. Applied Behavioral Sciences (ABS), B.S.
