International Management Concentration
Description:
The choice of an International Management Concentration comes from feedback gathered from business to business partnership, and will interest students facing the realities of globalization and efficient leadership in their professional lives.
This concentrations was developed for undergraduate students who are interested in the area of international management and need several additional courses to complete the 180 QH for the degree.
How You Will Learn:
All courses in the concentration can be offered either online or face-to-face. Students may take one, two or all three courses listed for the concentration. Any NLU student can take these courses, but in order for the concentration to be noted on the transcript, all three courses must be taken, and in conjunction with one of the 4 approved programs.
Concentration Courses:
International Management MGT372 (5QH)
This is a survey course that will serve as a foundation for the concentration.
Diversity in the Workplace MGT404 (5QH)
This course introduces concepts that managers will face in working with a diverse workforce in the US as well as addressing work place issues in an international venue.
Contemporary Issues in International Management MGT 408 (5QH)
The focus is on the emerging issues in the external environment as well as the issues within a particular industry and the effect they have on a business. This subject matter is of particular interest to business partners and addresses important emergent themes related to expanding markets.
Requirements:
- Each of the upper-level courses in the concentration must be completed with a grade of C or better.
- All three courses in each concentration must be taken at National-Louis University. No transfer courses will be accepted.
