What are the requirements for admission to the program?
Requirements for admission to the program are as follows: students must have at least 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of previous college credit with a GPA of 2.0 or above from an accredited institution(s). Students should also have paid the application fee and have submitted an application for admission to the University. Find out more about admission information.
Where is this program offered?
At NLU’s Illinois campuses in Chicago, Elgin, Lisle, Skokie (North Shore) and Wheeling as well as in Tampa, Florida.

How long will it take to complete the cohort program?
The Applied Behavioral Sciences (ABS) program is a 13 month accelerated degree completion program. It is considered your core, or major, at NLU.
What types of classes will I take in the program?
You will take a variety of courses that focus on Information and Technological Literacy, Analytical Skills, and Ethics, Values and Respect for Human Diversity. View ABS Curriculum
Will I graduate with a bachelor’s degree when I complete the ABS program?
Graduation is contingent on completion of all the General Education, Elective and core requirements of the degree. The ABS program, your major, consists of 51 quarter hours of credit. The bachelor’s degree will include 180 quarter hours of credit. You have several options available to complete any outstanding credits needed for graduation.
How many times do classes meet?
Classes meet one evening per week. Classes at the Chicago campus will meet from 5:30–9:30pm. Classes at suburban campuses meet from 6:00–10:00pm.
