American Corporate Partners (ACP) 
Free nationwide, in-person or e-mentoring, career counseling and networking with professionals for long-term career development for veterans.

America's Heroes at Work  
U.S. Department of Labor project, designed for employers and workforce development systems, addresses employment challenges with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Transition assistance, job search/placement services particularly for veterans of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, with specific resources for wounded or disabled veterans.

Job Corps
U.S. Department of Labor program offering free job training and post-training assistance services with priority enrollment for veterans (and three locations that offer dorm areas exclusively for veterans)

USA JOBS
The Office of Personnel Management in support of the President’s Veterans Employment Initiative, created a one-stop web site resource for Federal veteran employment information. The information on this site is designed to ensure veterans, transitioning service members, and their families receive accurate and consistent information regarding veteran’s employment in the Federal Government.

The Veterans Corporation
Provides veterans and service-disabled veterans with access to the tools required to become successful in business.

Veteran’s Transition Franchise Initiative
Franchise opportunities portal operated by the International Franchise Association, offering specific discounts to veterans.

VetJobs
The premiere military related job board on the Internet. The VetJobs website connects transitioning military personnel, veterans and their family members with organizations who are searching for highly trained, reliable and mission-oriented employees.

The Foundation's mission is to "remove road blocks" that might impede or stop the veteran from becoming a contributing and happy member of society.  

Legal Resources

American Bar Association
Veterans face a wide array of legal issues created by their unique circumstances. The ABA provides a list of resources designed to provide attorneys and veterans with assistance related to challenges in obtaining medical care, disability benefits, reemployment rights, consumer, housing, criminal and family law matters, and in obtaining legal counsel.

John Marshall Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic (VLSC)
The Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic (VLSC) works on all aspects of Veteran Benefits Administration claims, from the initial, factual intake to the technical representation of claims at the appellate level.

Illinois Joining Forces
Illinois Joining Forces (IJF) is a network of public and not-for-profit organizations working together to improve services to Illinois’ military and veteran communities by offering a compilation of resources ranging from legal to disability benefits to financial literacy.

Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)
A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to support military officers and their families at every stage of life. MOAA plays an active role with Congress on behalf of the military community on issues that affect the career force, the retired community, and veterans of the uniformed services. They also offer a range of personal and financial services exclusive to MOAA membership.
