National Louis University is a great fit for community college transfers. We’re dedicated to teaching busy adults, and it shows in our student population. NLU has partnerships with major community colleges throughout Chicagoland, so the transition is easy. And with our generous transfer credit policy — plus possible credit for work and life experience — your degree may be closer than you think.
A transfer student is defined as one who has earned a minimum of 15 quarter hours college or university work for credit. More than 75% of our undergraduates have transferred credits from a community college or other institution.

Transfer Articulation Guide
To help students in transfer credit toward undergraduate programs, NLU has created articulation agreements with more than 70 community colleges and other institutions. These agreements allow students who have earned an associate’s degree from an institution with which NLU has a current and verified articulation agreement to transfer all credits earned as part of their degree to NLU (program restrictions may apply). Students who have not completed associates degrees will be admitted to NLU as transfer students and will have all previous college work evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
The Transfer Articulation Guide provides you with information you need to transfer easily from your community college to National Louis University. Here you will find NLU's general education core and program requirements as well as how to apply courses from your community college to your bachelor's degree at NLU.
