Faculty and Staff,
One of the key ways to support students is to welcome them to the university during Welcome Week. It is important for our students to not only read but see NLU's mission and values in action by our faculty and staff being there to assist and answer questions during the first week of the term. You can personally participate in creating an unparalleled student experience by spending just one or two hours greeting students. We will be welcoming students at each campus for the Winter 2013 term, beginning January 7, 2013.
We need greeters at all five Chicago area campuses, Monday, January 7 through Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 4pm to 7pm daily. During the first week of classes, students will be invited to stop by the Welcome Tables, located on each campus. Here they will be provided with a Student Guidebook which is a handbook of University resources, policies, as well as other information.
You can sign up for your shift at the Welcome Week Registration page. Please encourage your colleagues to volunteer with you! Welcome Week is hospitality in action and is really meaningful to our students on a personal level.
Thank you for your onging commitment to our students and their success!
