The Criminal Justice Scholarship is for new students who begin the degree program in Fall 2012, Winter 2013 or Spring 2013. Students must be admitted during the 2012–2013 academic year to the Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice degree program to be eligible. The criteria for students who begin the program in each of these terms are noted below.
Fall 2012 Criteria:
- Full admission to the BA in Criminal Justice program
- Enrollment in at least 10 quarter hours per term
- Maintain continuous enrollment in the program (summer terms excluded)
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
- Award maximum $2,000 per term
- The scholarship can be awarded until the student reaches 180 quarter hours of combined transfer and institutional coursework
- All additional NLU resources cannot exceed 25% of the tuition per term
- Scholarship is not refundable to the student, can only be used to cover tuition costs
Winter 2013 Criteria:
- Full admission to the BA in Criminal Justice program
- Enrollment in at least 10 quarter hours per term
- Maintain continuous enrollment in the program (summer terms excluded)

- Award maximum $1,000 per term
- The scholarship can be awarded until the student reaches 180 quarter hours of combined transfer and institutional coursework
- All NLU resources including the Criminal Justice Scholarship cannot exceed 25% of the tuition per term
- Scholarship is not refundable to the student, can only be used to cover tuition costs
