Enrollment and Degree Verification
National Louis University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications. For a free, printable enrollment verification certificate from the Clearinghouse, please follow the instructions below.
- Log on to the NLU Portal
- Click on the “My Services” tab
- Click on the NLU Self Service link
- Click “Student”
- Click “Student Records”
- Click “Official Enrollment Verification”
- Select “Current Enrollment” or “All Enrollment”
- Click “Obtain an Enrollment Certificate”
You can print and send the enrollment verification certificate to health insurers, housing providers and other organizations requiring proof of enrollment. The certificate will be reflect the current term’s enrollment only after the end of the add/drop period.
If you need a special letter to verify a status or academic specification beyond proof of enrollment, please use the Special Letter Request Form.
All third-party verification requests must be made directly to the National Student Clearinghouse.
Loan Deferments
NLU automatically submits to the National Student Clearinghouse a report of student enrollment status. The Clearinghouse then supplies enrollment information to lending agencies. If your lender is not able to verify your enrollment and process your deferment through the Clearinghouse, please contact the Office of Admissions and Records for assistance. Please note that you must be registered and attending at least half-time in the current term to be eligible for deferment.
