What is the Office of Admissions & Records?
The Office of Admissions & Records is responsible for supporting credentials, admission of applicants, maintaining academic files, and evaluating student credentials. Information about many of the services performed by the office can be found on this web site, using the index on the welcome page. To view our mission statement or a staff list, please click here. Where is the Office of Admissions & Records?
Most staff are located on the Wheeling campus, but staff are also located on the Chicago campus. On campuses without Registrar staff, Student Service Representatives can assist walk-in students with many Registrar functions such transcript requests.

What is an NLU e-mail account? How do I access it and why is it important?
NLU provides every registered student with a personal email account. This email account is an official form of communication between the University and students. Students (other than those with a relevant ADA-certified disability) are responsible for checking their email account regularly.

Go to MY.NL.EDU, and login using your user name and password. (Click on the "click here" link under How do I get a user name and password? if you are unsure about your user name and initial password.)

What is my NLU ID? How do I find it?
NLU has provided you with an NLU ID which is located in your secure account at MY.NL.EDU. For your protection and rather than using your Social Security Number, it is expected that you will have this number available when you correspond with us. Please email us here if you have any questions about the use of NLU IDs.

How do I find a copy of my grades?
Current and recent students can view and print a copy of their grades through their MY.NL.EDU account.

Former students should request a transcript.

How do I request a transcript?
Official transcripts are available upon request (if all financial obligations to the University have been met). All transcript requests must be made in writing, and the appropriate transcript fee must be included.

The request form and schedule of fees are located on our Transcript Requests page.

(Students who have a portal account may view and/or print an unofficial copy of their National-Louis transcript through their personal account at MY.NL.EDU.

How can I get enrollment verification for insurance, reimbursement, or loan purposes?
Please see our Verifications page to follow the steps to log into your MY.NL.EDU account and print an official enrollment verification.

    NLU’s Chicago campus on South Michigan Avenue occupies five floors of the historic Peoples Gas Building. This landmark building, across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago and Grant Park, is easily accessible by train, bus and car and is surrounded by restaurants, parking lots/garages and shops.

  • ELGIN

    Conveniently located in a fast-growing business district off I-90 and Route 31, NLU Elgin features 10 classrooms with high-tech media equipment; a computer lab with high-speed Internet access; two conference rooms; and comfortable student lounges. Parking is free at this recently remodeled and upgraded teaching site, which now includes wireless Internet access.

    Opened in the summer of 2006, NLU North Shore at Skokie is a state-of-the-art modern campus located just off the Edens Expressway near the Old Orchard Shopping Center. The campus includes 44 wireless classrooms equipped with high-tech media equipment; four computer labs with high-speed Internet access, including a walk-in lab in the library; six conference rooms; a public café for beverages and snacks; a student welcome center; a library for research and study; and multiple, comfortable student lounge areas.

    Located in one of Chicago's major northwest suburbs, the newly renovated NLU Wheeling includes 20 classrooms with high-tech media equipment, four conference rooms, four computer labs with high-speed Internet access, large student lounge areas with wireless capabilities and interactive video capabilities, and an extensive research library. The site also houses the university library research collection.
