Biography:

Xiuwen Wu is an associate professor in Special Education at National College of Education. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education from the Department of Counseling, Educational Technology and Special Education, Michigan State University, and started working at NLU in 2003. She has taught courses both for the Master's program in Special Education and Doctoral program in Disability and Equity in Education (DEE).

Research and Interests:

Her research areas include the examination of participation framework and classroom discourses conducive to the literacy development of students with Learning Disabilities, technologies for enhanced learning, and visual literacy.
