Welcome to NLU, a university with a tradition of access, a proud history and a strong commitment to diversity, excellence and innovation.
Our founder, the visionary social reformer Elizabeth Harrison, started our institution more than 125 years ago to train women of modest means to transform their home communities through the kindergarten movement. Thus began our mission of preparing talented individuals to lead wherever they come from and aspire to go.
Today National Louis has more than 11,000 current students and 65,000 living alumni elevating their professions and communities. Our reach is national and international with five Chicago area campuses as well as sites in Florida, Wisconsin, and Poland. NLU includes the National College of Education, the College of Management & Business, and the College of Arts & Sciences, offering bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in 60 fields including education, management, human services, counseling, and other community-serving disciplines.
Our students inspire us every day with the passion and dedication they show for their academic goals, the professions they seek to join and lead, and their families and communities. NLU people make the most of themselves in every way. We invite you to learn more about National Louis University and join us for a extraordinary experience where you can pursue your educational aspirations.
Best,
