Scholarships Overview
In addition to scholarships funded by NLU, many individuals, organizations, and corporations provide scholarship assistance for students at NLU. Scholarships may be obtained from industries, service groups, professional organizations, foundations, churches, state government, and academic departments. There are a variety of scholarships available to help finance your education at NLU.
NLU Scholarships
Undergraduate students may be eligible for:

Undergraduate Day Students
Graduate students may be eligible for:
Current NLU students are eligible for the following scholarships:
- Doctoral Scholarships (rolling deadline)
- Patricia Cassin-Graft Student Teacher Assistance Fund Award (Fall)
- Jane Roiter Memorial Scholarship in Counseling and Human Services (Spring)
- Cheryl Hoyer Memorial Scholarship in Applied Behavioral Sciences (rolling deadline)
- Merit-Based Donor Scholarships
Outside Scholarships:
Scholarships are also available through state government agencies. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) administers various scholarships for residents of Illinois. There are 2 scholarships specifically for students pursuing teaching degrees:
- Illinois Future Teacher Corps (IFTC) Program
- Minority Teachers of Illinois (MTI) Scholarship Program (Undergraduate and Graduate)
