The mission of the Staff Council is to represent and promote the interests of the staff and serve as an active advisory group to the University administration in areas that pertain to the welfare of the staff and matters that may benefit the University as a whole.
Staff Recognition Program
Objective: To recognize staff for their contribution to further the mission and goals of NLU.
Eligibility criteria: All non-faculty administrative and support staff (up to and including executive directors).
Nominations are accepted in the following categories for staff that perform with distinction and excellence in:
Creating an unparalleled student experience
Furthering quality in academic excellence
Innovation in achieving fiscal sustainability
Awards are given out on an annual basis. All nominees will be recognized throughout the year. To nominate an individual or team please use this online form.

Lisle Campus Food Drive/Luncheon - 2013
The annual Lisle campus Food Drive/Luncheon will take place on Friday, October 25th at 12:15 in the Public Forum room. Please join the Lisle campus luncheon by bringing a dish, salad or dessert to pass. In addition, the Lisle campus will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Lisle Township Food Pantry.

Wheeling Campus 2013 – Winter Coat Drive and Food Drive
The annual food drive for the Wheeling Food Pantry will begin on Monday, December 2nd and end on Monday, December 16th.
The Wheeling Campus community will be collecting for their annual winter coat/hat/mitten and scarf drive for WINGS (Women in Need Growing Stronger). Collections will be taken between Monday, October 7th and Friday, Monday, October 21st. Items needed include; winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves, clean and ready-to-wear. Please safety-pin all gloves/mittens together. No clothing items please.

2013 Elgin Community Holiday Toy Giveaway
Once again this year, National Louis University will be working with the following organizations to coordinate the Elgin Community Holiday Toy Giveaway; the Community Crisis Center, Grand Victoria Casion and Foundation, City of Elgin, Fox Valley Kiwanis Club, Elgin Rope Officers, Golden K Kiwanis, Centro de Informacion, elgin Township, and Girl Scouts of Illinois. Last year approximately 6000 toys were provided for over 2,700 children from nearly 1,000 families.
We need your help! Collection boxes will be located at the Elgin, Lisle adn Wheeling campuse this year. Non-violent toys only. No guns, knives, baseball bats, weapons, or action figures representing violent activies.
