Public support for National-Louis initiatives has come from the Illinois State Board of Education, the Chicago Department of Human Resources and others.
ON THE INTERNATIONAL FRONT National-Louis University partners with the Wyzsza Szkola Biznesu, a private business school in Nowy Sacz, Poland. The university co-founded WSB in 1992, and continues to collaborate on curriculum and instruction. For the last four years, WSB has been ranked number one among all private schools in Poland. From the initial student body of 65, enrollment has grown tremendously to exceed 3,300. Through an articulation agreement between WSB and National-Louis University, students who earn their Licentiate from WSB may enroll at National-Louis for a one-year capstone program and complete requirements for a U.S. bachelor's degree in business. Starting in 2001, students will be able to complete National-Louis University degrees in Poland.
Another international initiative of National-Louis is the service it provides to the Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) throughout Europe. Prior to 1994, the university offered an M.Ed. program to teachers in the DoDDS Germany Region only. DoDDS reorganized in 1994, merging the Germany, Atlantic and Mediterranean Regions into DoDDS Europe. National-Louis now has authorization to offer programs throughout DoDDS Europe and has offered its M.Ed. in Italy, Spain, and England in addition to its continuing service to students in Germany.
