National Latino Education Institute

Get it at NLEI — and NLU.

University programs offered by the NLEI + NLU Partnership Project recognize that the Latino community brings unique skills and backgrounds to higher education—life experiences, professional competencies and prior learning that can be translated into college credit. You take what you have "learned and earned" at NLEI—your training, language skills, work experience, add to it any prior college coursework you may have earned and apply it towards a bachelor’s degree at NLU.

Credit for prior learning through NLEI is one of the major reasons why you will be able to earn an affordable, undergraduate degree more quickly at NLU. The NLEI + NLU Partnership Project offers community-based, bachelor of science degree programs in management (BSM) and Health Care Leadership (HCL). You will attend classes at NLEI—classes that feature a small student-to-faculty ratio, knowledgeable instructors, strong peer group support and respect for the culture and community embraced by Chicago’s Latinos.

And, along the way, you’ll get support—lots of it. The NLEI + NLU Partnership Project will include NLEI’s strong tradition of student services, including day care, bilingual/bicultural counseling, and Latino mentoring.
