NLU's Groupon offer successfully tips
NLU's first-of-its-kind course offering through Groupon surpassed its 15 buyer "tipping point" with 18 participants signing up for the "Introduction to the Profession and the Craft of Teaching." Media tallies were also impressive, with 144 broadcast stories (an estimated publicity value of $315 thousand according to an industry monitoring service) and more than 250 print and internet stories including international coverage in Brazil and Japan. In interviews about the offer, President Megahed was consistent in her message of innovation in reaching potential teachers of talent, access for contemporary learners, and excellence in NLU's graduate programs. Groupon spokespersons were equally positive. "The National Louis deal perfectly embodies Groupon's mission, introducing subscribers to unique opportunities they may not have known existed," said Julie Mossler, Director of Communications, Groupon. "National Louis executed this perfectly, offering a course created specifically for Groupon subscribers to explore the Master's curriculum. This deal is the foundation for an ongoing relationship with many of these buyers." Examples of coverage can be accessed through these links:
