Biography
Dr. Fromm Reed, who has worked at National-Louis University since 2005, currently co-directs the Ph.D. program in Community Psychology at National-Louis University and also works with students in the psychology Masters and undergraduate programs. Before that she worked with non-profit agencies at both the national and local level on issues of parenting and the prevention of child maltreatment. Her research has focused on the prevention of child maltreatment by investigating community factors that buffer against triggers to child abuse and neglect. More specifically, her research considers how collective efficacy and social capital may play a role in buffering against child maltreatment. She also has a research interest in health promotion through exercise and nutrition within the community.Education
