Biography
Pat Van Slyke has over 30 years of experience with the pediatric population, both in assessment and intervention. The language/literacy connection to speech and language is an important area that has been a part of Pat Van Slyke's research, teaching and clinical practice. She is a national presenter on the topics of Classroom Modifications for Students with Landau-Kleffner Syndrome (LKS), Response to Intervention: Implementing Language/Literacy and Differentiating Classroom Instruction for Language Challenged Students. She is an ASHA Continuing Education Provider for Speech Language Pathologists. She was awarded by the Speech Pathology & Audiology Department at ISU as their Alumna of the year in 2005. She was honored as the 2008 Fellow of the Illinois Speech - Language -Hearing Association (ISHA) for her service to ISHA, clinical services and teaching.Education
