Biography

Maya Levanon is an full time instructor in NLU's Interdisciplinary Studies in Curriculum and Instruction program in Milwaukee. She currently teaches graduate courses in the South side of Milwaukee. Teaching at the college level since 2001, she spent 6 years at Montclair State University in New Jersey teaching Philosophy of Education to undergraduate and graduate levels and gender issues in education. She was a philosophy teacher for elementary and middle school students in Israel and New Jersey. While working on her doctorate, focused on connecting spirituality with philosophical thinking to create a holistic teacher education sphere, emphasizing pedagogical circle as pedagogy.
