Biography
Judah Viola is a community psychologist that holds the positions of assistant professor of psychology and co-director of the community psychology Ph.D. program at National-Louis University in Chicago, Illinois where he conducts research and teach courses. He also manages an independent consulting practice that specializes in needs assessment, program evaluation, community building, and collaborative community research. Viola's research and advocacy interests involve promoting healthy communities and increasing civic engagement and prosocial behavior of individuals and groups within communities. More specifically, this has led him to a varied range of research topics including: urban education for students with disabilities, substance abuse aftercare, affordable housing, access to healthcare, access to healthy food, and violence prevention and intervention programs for youth.Education
