Biography

Dr. Fischer has been teaching at National College of Education since 1981 in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Curriculum and Instruction program. He has worked with teachers in  the Chicago Public Schools on school improvement, professional development, and arts education programs. Dr. Fischer has directed three major arts integration projects funded by USDE. As a visiting professor, he taught action research workshops in Chile, Brazil, and Mexico. Additionally, Professor Fischer worked five years in IDS program in Germany.
