This program equips students with the insights, skills, and theory to thrive in diverse roles working with and leading groups. An interdisciplinary program, it combines approaches from psychology, sociology, communications, and cultural and organizational studies to provide a framework for effective professional practice in a variety of settings and graduate study.
This bachelor's degree program prepares students to advance in organizations that provide support, service, and other general social work-related activities for individuals, families, and communities in need. These include social service agencies, community health centers and rehabilitation clinics.
This degree program is designed for people who want to pursue a liberal arts education with the ability to study in one or more areas of interest such as Philosophy, English, Fine Arts, Multicultural Studies, Music, Psychology, Social Science, Theater Arts or Math.
This master's program is designed for students who are interested in working as a school or community counselor. Students interested in a master's degree in counseling may pursue Type 73 certification for working in schools, or their Licensed Professional Counselor certification to work in an agency setting.
NLU's psychology degree program is designed for students seeking further graduate study, interested in teaching at the undergraduate level, working in social services or hospitals, or who have a particular interest in organizational, developmental or health psychology.
