National Louis University's full-time undergraduate program on our Chicago Campus is for students with little or no previous college experience who want to earn a bachelor's degree in one of five popular programs with great career potential—business administration, human services, early childhood education, elementary education, or special education. Students of all ages and backgrounds make up a close-knit community of learners who can access extra academic guidance, personal and career development coaching, and a special focus on teambuilding and community engagement.
Two special NLU scholarship awards have been created for students in the daytime program. Each is renewable annually if the student continues to meet qualifications.
• Students with exceptional promise as a community leader, may apply for the Harrison Fellows Scholarship which covers 60% of tuition, or upon admission to the daytime college program, all students are automatically eligible to receive the Pioneer Scholarship worth 30% of tuition.
• Your enrollment advisor and NLU's financial aid office can also counsel you on the availability of government Pell grants, work-study options, and other financial assistance.
Provides students with a broad base of knowledge including business ethics, business writing, finance and budgeting concepts, and consumer research. And no matter what your concentration, you'll be prepared to apply best management practices in your workplace.
Prepares students to advance in organizations that provide support and service to individuals, families, and communities in need. These include social service agencies, community health centers and rehabilitation clinics.
Students who want the credentials to teach children from K-9th grade can earn their Type 03 Certification. You'll strengthen your presentation skills, learn to write and evaluate lesson plans, develop the ability to assess and evaluate student performance, and develop appropriate teaching methods to reach a diverse population of learners.
Prepares students to work with children from birth through age eight. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn a Type 04 Illinois teaching certificate and be able to enter the classroom ready to support the growth and development of all their students
Designed for students looking to gain their LBS1 certification in order to make a difference in the lives of children with learning challenges. You will learn how to best educate students with disabilities in accordance with federal and state policies and regulations, and address their needs within the context of complex disability and social systems.
