How can I become a technology specialist?
NLU's TIE program prepares you for the Type 10 Technology Specialist test. With an Illinois teaching certificate and a passing score on the Type 10 Technology Specialist test, you will be qualified as a technology resource person for your school or district.
What is a cohort?
Cohorts consist of a group of 20 or less students who progress through the same program. Cohorts encourage group interaction and enhance the learning experience.
Is this program accredited?
This program is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education to offer the Technology Specialist (Type 10) certification.
