- What degrees are offered in this program?
- There are four different Reading & Language programs: Reading, Language & Literacy; Reading & Language Doctorate; Reading and Language Educational Specialist.
- How can I become a reading specialist/teacher?
- You may enroll in NLU’s Reading program at the M.Ed. or M.S.Ed. levels. If you currently hold a master’s in education, then you should apply to the Certificate of Advanced Studies program.
- What is a cohort?
- Cohorts consist of a group of 20 or less students who progress through the same program. Cohorts encourage group interaction and enhance the learning experience.
- Is this program accredited?
- This program meets the guidelines of the International Reading Association, NCATE and State of Illinois.
