Experienced Educators Scholarship

The Experienced Educators Scholarship is an award that is given to new NCE graduate students. Students must be fully admitted to one of the eligible programs and take all degree requirement courses at National Louis University. The scholarship is for students who began the program in 2013-2014 or later.

Eligible programs include:

  • M.Ed. Specialized Endorsement Degrees
    • ESL/Reading or ESL/BE/Reading Program
    • ESL/Middle Level Mathematics or ESL/BE/Middle Level Mathematics Program
    • ESL/Special Education or ESL/BE/Special Education Program
    • ESL/Early Childhood Special Education or ESL/BE/Early Childhood Special Education Program
    • Reading/Special Education Program
    • Special Education/Middle Level Mathematics Program
    • Reading/Early Childhood Special Education Program
  • M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction, ESL
  • C.A.S. Curriculum and Instruction, ESL
  • M.A.T Secondary Education

Scholarship criteria include:

  • Full admission to one of the eligible programs
  • Complete all degree requirement courses at NLU
  • Students receiving discounted tuition rates are not eligible for the scholarship
  • Scholarship only applies to non-ESL courses and will be awarded per term based on enrollment status in eligible courses
  • Students are only eligible for one institutional resource per academic year
  • Adhere to the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy of the University
  • Students must adhere to all the University policies noted in the Catalog in order to remain eligible to receive NLU Scholarships.

    • Reading/Early Childhood Special Education Program, $158 per semester hour
  • M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction, ESL, $286 per semester hour

    NLU’s Chicago campus on South Michigan Avenue occupies five floors of the historic Peoples Gas Building. This landmark building, across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago and Grant Park, is easily accessible by train, bus and car and is surrounded by restaurants, parking lots/garages and shops.

  • ELGIN
