NLU-funded scholarships include:
Academic Achievement Scholarship
- Valued at up to $2,800 per year, $11,200 total for four consecutive years
- Exclusive to incoming NLU freshmen
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduation from high school during the 2005-06 academic year.
- Full admission to an undergraduate degree program at National-Louis University, plus at least two of the following three criteria:
- A calculated grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
- A composite score of 25 or higher on the ACT or 1060 or higher on the SAT
- A class rank in the top 10%
- Full-time (12 quarter hours-per-term) enrollment. FOCUS courses are not considered in determining scholarship eligibility.
- The scholarship is renewable for four consecutive years contingent upon the recipient maintaining continuous enrollment (summers optional) and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 for all NLU coursework.
- The maximum total scholarship is $11,200.
Benefactors Scholarship
- Valued at up to $2,800 per year
- Exclusive to transfer students
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full admission to an undergraduate degree program at National-Louis University prior to initial enrollment.
- A minimum of 45 quarter hours/30 semester hours of accepted transferable college credit and a transfer GPA of 3.75 on a 4.00 scale at the point of admission.
- The scholarship is renewable contingent upon the student enrolling in at least 6 quarter hours for consecutive terms until combined transfer and NLU credit has reached or exceeded 180 quarter hours and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher for all NLU coursework.
- Recipients must enroll in at least 12-15 quarter hours each term to receive $700.
- For any term that enrollment is 6–11 quarter hours, the student will receive $350. FOCUS courses are not considered in determining term enrollment hours.
Transfer Recognition Scholarship
- Valued at up to $2,000 per year
- Exclusive to transfer students
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full admission to an undergraduate degree program at National-Louis University prior to initial enrollment.
- A minimum of 45 quarter hours/30 semester hours of accepted transferable college credit and a transfer GPA of 3.25 on a 4.00 scale at the point of admission.
- Scholarship is renewable contingent upon the student enrolling in at least 6 quarter hours for consecutive terms until combined transfer and NLU credit has reached or exceeded 180 quarter hours and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher for all NLU coursework.
- Recipients must enroll in at least 12-15 quarter hours each term to receive $500.
- For any term that enrollment is 6–11 quarter hours, the student will receive $250. FOCUS courses are not considered in determining term enrollment hours.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
- Valued at up to $15,300
- Exclusive to transfer students
Eligibility Criteria:
- Selected recipients must be fully admitted to an undergraduate degree program.
- Recipients who maintain a 3.5 GPA will be awarded $1,000 per full-time term and recipients who enter with and maintain a 3.75 GPA will be awarded $1,700 per full-time term. Recipients must be enrolled full-time, 12 quarter hours, excluding FOCUS courses, to be eligible for any given term.
- The NLU PTK Scholarship can be used for a maximum of nine terms or through completion of 180 earned (transfer and NLU) quarter hours.
- Students not selected for the PTK Scholarship with at least 45 transferable quarter hours and a 3.25-3.70 transfer GPA will automatically be awarded the Transfer Recognition Scholarship worth up to $2,000 per year and those with a 3.75-4.00 transfer GPA will automatically be awarded the Benefactors Scholarship worth up to $2,800 per year.

Merit-Based Donor Scholarships
- Value varies by individual scholarship
- Available to currently enrolled NLU students
Eligibility Criteria:
Each scholarship has specific eligibility requirements as listed in the scholarship brochure. However, to be eligible to receive a Merit Scholarship, a student must:
- demonstrate evidence of academic performance
- have completed at least one term at NLU prior to March 31, 2007
- submit all application materials (application, essay, and letter of recommendation from an NLU faculty member) by the March 15, 2007 deadline.
